The morning routine sets the spirit for the day. we wanted to be productive at work and at the same time we also want to have some time for ourselves. the morning should never be a rush time because your body just wakes up. the body requires some time to wake up completely.

setting morning routine correctly helps you to appreciate your presence. your body will thank you too eventually. in this article, I am sharing my personal ideas of morning routines.

Steps of morning routine

1. Get up early in the morning: I know getting up early in the morning is the trickiest task. hence you have to play some tricks with your self. like, keeping your phone away from your bed at night so that you will not able to reach your phone easily.

setting an alarm, sleeping at the right time in the night, and taking enough sleep will help you to wake early in the morning. this all starts with intention, setting an intention is very important because it motivates you to take the first step and then continue.

2. Make your bed: Making your bed should be the first thing in the morning so that you will not end up sleeping more. it will also encourage us to do the next task of the day. a neat and clean bed seems very cozy in the night when you will come back home.

3. Wash face and brush your teeth: to wake up fully splash some water on your face and brush your teeth.

4. Drink a glass of water: it will re hydrate your body.

5. Prepare a cup of tea/green tea/coffee. whatever you love and which makes you happy.

6. Sit in balcony or nearby to open the window and have your hot cup of beverage. Just sit in silence and enjoy the soothing wind and music of nature. Slow morning is a luxury that we all can have. Don’t think about anything just tune in with nature’s music.

7. After finishing your tea go outside. Do exercise for a few minutes and walk a few miles.

7. Come back home and then sit on your desk. Take out your notebook/Journal and write five things you are grateful for today.

For example, you can be grateful for your loving parents and for a beautiful day. Writing them down on a notebook will give you a feeling of contentment. We don’t become rich with money we become rich with the love of our close ones and the experiences we gain in our lifetime. Hence it’s good to acknowledge that you have many reasons to be happy. Writing gratitude every day is a ritual for self-love and a realization that you are enough.

8. Then take a slow bath. Play soothing music in the background and lit an aromatic candle. Set the right temperature of the water. Then enjoy your bathing and sound of splattering water.

9. After bathing prepare your healthy breakfast, try to keep it simple. For example a bowl of oats, milk, honey with some fresh fruits or salad of fruits with green tea. Simple breakfast saves your time and you don’t have to think about it every morning.

10. After having breakfast get ready for your office, college, and collect your bag. Always pack your bag, purse, and take out your clothes at night. Never pack them in the morning.

Now you have set a positive tone for your day and you have pampered yourself in the morning. You are going to rock your day and moreover you did your morning tasks exactly as you wanted. these morning routines ideas are my personal ideas, you can create your own morning routine that works for you. for example, you can do meditation in morning or you can read your favorite book.

A slow morning is gift that you can gift to yourself everyday.
